EIC-Accelerator Grant
Corbotics has been awarded a €2.5 million grant through the European Innovation Council (EIC) Accelerator, supporting the continued development of our autonomous cardiac ultrasound robot.
The EIC-Accelerator is part of the EU's Horizon Europe programme and is among the most competitive sources of funding for European deep-tech companies. It backs SMEs developing innovations with high potential impact and a clear path to market. Selection follows a multi-stage evaluation of the technology, the team, and the commercial case.
For Corbotics, the grant is recognition of both the clinical need we are addressing and the maturity of our technology. Our cardiac echo robot combines an AI-driven robotic arm, mounted on a custom bed and integrated with a general-purpose diagnostic ultrasound system, to assist medical professionals in acquiring cardiac ultrasound images. It does this through autonomous transducer positioning and automated optimization of ultrasound settings, with the aim of making echocardiography more accessible in outpatient cardiac care.
The funding will support our next phase of work to make our device commercially viable.
“Very proud that the Corbotics B.V. team was awarded this grant, which is considered one of the most prestigious in Europe. Let’s further scale up autonomous cardiac ultrasound exams and improve early detection of CVD and on time access to treatment”
